FERRIC CHLORIDE

Ferric chloride in liquid form is an efficient primary coagulant based on trivalent iron (Fe+3), excellent for water purification, wastewater and municipal water treatment as well as sludge conditioning. It has various applications such as precipitation of phosphates, total suspended solids, removal of DBO and DQO, removal of hydrogen sulfide in odor control, decolorization, organic removal compounds, reduction of THM (trihalomethanes), removal of heavy metals by coprecipitation and absorption.

Safe handling: Use appropriate protective clothing, safety glasses, rubber gloves, and face protection. In case of contact with the eyes, immediately rinse the area with plenty of water. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash clothes before reusing. If there is a spill, rinse with plenty of water and neutralize with lime. Storage: The storage tanks, pipes, and valves should be made of corrosion-resistant materials such as fiberglass, rubber-coated steel, PVC or other suitable plastics. Ferric chloride is corrosive to most metals. Aluminum and copper are easily attacked. It can be stored at room temperature and should not be stored in diluted form.
